Havel surgical steel ripper is my favorite. Have had it for seven years and have put in a new blade only a few times. It is very, very sharp. But effective. Watch your fingrs.

I'm a teacher and always tell my students to leave any unsewing to me....(nickname...Jac the ripper)......and I use my rotary cutter to do it quickly and efficiently!

When having to do lots of ripping I use my electric hair clippers ... mustache clippers work too. Doing that yesterday, lots of seams to 'rip' from a project that wasn't cut accurately.

MommaDorian, they don't cut the fabric if you pull the 2 pieces of fabric apart at the seam that needs ripped. I cut some fabric once but not since, I had not kept the fabric taut.

I use my "snip" sissors made for people with arthritis (lol) - that way I don't have to go hunting, they have a sharp point and work wonderful for that purpose.
