I need help, but I'm picky
Help!
Our guild is making blocks for a lady that has been so very helpful to all of us for many years. She likes chickens, so we are making chicken blocks. We are all supposed to come up with one of our own, so there is no common pattern. Needs to finish 12" sq.
Does anyone no where I can find one? I can't do paper piecing, and not really fond of applique.
Many thanks to any ideas.
Sherry

I did a quick google search, but as I suspected, all the patterns that I saw were either PP'd or applique. Since you don't want to do either of those, I can only think of pre-printed fabric with chickens on it that are fussy cut and pieced into a block.

There are quite a few fabrics with chickens out there. Maybe you could incorporate one of them into a block....
Here's a link to one: http://www.rossvillequilts.com/cgi-b...rooster1220_44
you can go to http://www.quiltshops.com/ and search for chicken sale and come up with a lot to peruse and satisfy that perfect chicken urge! (Maybe even a nest with eggs?????) Luck to ya!
