I am going to quilt a string of hearts(from top to bottom) by machine and need a pattern, if there is one, so I don't have to struggle on my own. I need them to be about 2 inches wide and tall. Does anyone know of a place to find a pattern to transfer, or of a way to make a pattern? Thanks.

Cathie,

In the book, "60 Machine Quilting Patterns" by Pat Holly and Sue Nickels they show how to machine quilt a string of hearts. They make the top of the heart all the way across, and then come back and make the bottom half. Or, they make one side, and then come back up and make the other side.

The ISBN is 0-486-28013-6. If this book is still available, it has many wonderful patterns in it. The copyright is 1994.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to be brave and try to do my own pattern, but was unsure about how to go about it.
