Linda, I'm sorry you're having this trouble. I would be frustrated too. Hope you feel better after venting :)

I was lucky that I had an older Windows XP laptop that I could use for my embroidery machine software. My software is Magic Box and the manufacturer said it won't work with Windows 7 (my new computer) because Windows 7 is 32 bit and the old software I have is 16 bit. Now I have no idea what all that means! I just think the software should have an update available, we paid lots of hard earned money for it.

So sorry to hear about your situation. It is sad isn't it when business has come down to how to screw with the customer instead how to care of the customer.

Linda I ran into the same thing with a program on my computer and so now don't have it and miss it terribly. We just have to keep going and do new things. Sorry to hear of your problems but still look into letting a computer person work on this for you. Best of luck.

I sympathize, the same thing happened with my Bernina. I called their customer service and e-mailed them. I never got an answer from Bernina. The dealer I purchased my machine from had closed. I called a dealer 2 hours away and was told that I would have to purchase an upgrade for over $1000. I love the way my Bernina sews, but hate their customer service.

Wow! I guess I had better get mine out of the box and try to hook it up, haven't used it for several years I maybe up a creek
too. I do hope you can find some help somewhere.

I too would get a computer techie to hook me up with dual operating systems! It doesn't cost much and it would save ya from having to pay the company more money!

Won't the cloud storage eliminate all that different operating systems needed? Like EQ7 it's stored online and I save all my eq files online. I don't want to clog up my computer space when I pay for internet. Let the internet store them. All my word doc and tex files are stored in Goggle documents and pictures are stored in Picasa online albums. If my computer crashes no big deal. The important stuff is stored online. Even all my bookmarks. I put program set up files in the cloud and I don't know that much about it but it works.

Carron... that is a good idea about getting a older computer and using it just for your software. I'm thinking of keeping my old computer and just getting a lap top for my emails and such.

My computer is so slow ..so I really need one...

you might try going to the high schools by you and ask if they are going to get any new computers and see if they will sell you one of the old ones.. Good luck ...
