there was some Christmas fabric and some other novelty print stuff. I didn't buy that, but I got some very nice stuff to make a Double Wedding Ring wall quilt. Creamy background with olives, dark red, and black.

You lucky dog! What part of the country are you in? Maybe I need to get myself to WM and see if ours has any. Post pictures when you are done!

You are lucky! Our Wal-Mart is in the midst of a horrible remodel and the fabric department is now gone. They still have lots of scrapbooking items and some yarn, embroidery floss and latch hook kits, but that is all. I miss the craft department terribly. The women who worked there all knew me by name and were so friendly. They gave great advice and could find things for me at other stores if they didn't have it there. Talk about a service department, they were full service. Unfortunately, service doesn't seem to exist much anymore, especially at Wal-Mart.

I am in Wisconsin, but my friend in CA says her store has the Mumm fabrics, too. Our store will have fabrics for at least a few more years, according to the dept manager.
