Wow, the Ides of March must have been a lucky day! I'm visiting my daughter & her family & my sister also came for a visit. So yeterday my sister & I were in a thrift store looking at their one piece of fabric when a wonderful stranger told us of another thrift shop a couple of miles away that carries lots of fabric. So with her directions we found it and hit gold.
Most of the fabric was not useful to us but I found 12 yds ($1 yd) great for making Christmas stockings for the soldiers (our group does it as a big project).
Plus an industrial size spool, probably 10,000 yds of pure casmere crochet yarn from Scotland for $3
And the most wonderful-Rowenta steam generator iron, brand new in box with manual for $7.00!!!
we took a chance that is was working & it does, wonderful day.

Good for you!!! And I thought I was hitting the Jackpot at 2 different GoodWills, yesterday. I bought approx 30 different pieces of fabric totaling approx 45-50 yards and the best thing I found was a beautiful ornate iron with beveled glass top sq. coffee table and end table. The entire bill was $85 and that was with my "senior" discount of 25%!!! We are in the middle of putting wood flooring in the family room and the tables are going to look beautiful!!

You lucky dog!!! Every time I go to GW, there's no fabric there...Do you have secret fabric fairies looking out for you!? LOL I do stop at a Volunteers of America store and I have hit pay dirt a few times as far as yardage but usually they are smaller pieces but good for stash building!
