If it's catching maybe I should head to N Dakota! I have been saving for a trip in October and the withdrawal symptoms are terrible. I have however completed 3 scrap tops. Haven't made a dent in the scraps but I do like the quilts.

Every time I make a scrap quilt, I have more leftovers than I started with!!!! Not sure how this happens, but I wish they would reform as yardage!

yes stop looking at your stash. I did that earlier this year and even went to Rainbow's End (18,000+ bolts) and found nothing of interest. Turns out I thought I had too much fabric. After I stopped looking at it I was cured.

My advice: Do something different. Cook, paint, pole dance (!), learn german. Your creative juices may just need a different activity for a while, a little rest from the usual quilting and then when you come back it'll be fresh and exciting again.

I certainly can sympathize with you. I feel the same way...I keep cutting and sewing the tops together (have 4 now) and I seem to lose all interest in quilting. I hope there is a cure for this disease. If you find one let me know.

I get that way once in a while too. It's weird when that happens. I think that happens to me when there are SO many things I like that I can't choose just a few so I get nothing at all.

I have the same problem right now. We took a road trip this past week and my husband kept looking for quilt stores and I kept telling him I wasn't interested. I think my problem is that I have so much beautiful fabric and projects planned I just can't look at another piece of fabric. I just got back from a quilt store at lunch. All I bought was batting, I didn't even look at the fabric.

Sounds like good advice to me
Right. I get like this when I know we have a big purchase to make and I feel ever so guilty about spending a dime until our budget is back on track again. I can go into many stores and shops and not spend a dime. DH will question me on it and then I have to remind him about the new furnace or helping the kids or new tires or or or. He understands, and also understands when I am out of the budget crisis and back on track again. Shameful.
