It would really bother me to leave it and I would zoom in on the mistake every time I looked at it...lol. Thanks for the suggestions. I never thought about adding more applique. There are 8 groups of leaves & berries. They're on the top, sides & bottom, and all are at the green sashing. I have only quilted the top 3 borders and the white border is only a little over 1/2 way quilted. I will take it off the frame & start ripping it out tonight. Then I will add leaves & berries to the top of the green sashing & to the other ornament that's on the right. Then there will be 4 leaves & berries sets across the top and only 2 sets on each side & the bottom, but that's the best I can come up with. This is a pattern called Yuletide Tic Tac Toe in the McCalls that just came out. Measures 38 1/2" x 38 1/2".

I think it looks just fine the way it is....
With this "mistake" it is no longer a pattern that everyone duplicates the same, but an original that you have put your stamp on.....

Thanks...that's exactly what I plan to do!

If it really bothers you, you could add more holly and berries at the top of the other top ornament and on the sashing where it's missing - would make it more balanced.

I like it fine just the way it is and I also would not try to remove the fusible. Maybe you could add some more berries and leaves around the border but it really does look fine as is. Thank you for sharing.

I don't know what the pattern looks like, but I don't see anything wrong, it looks fine! I agree, if you wanted to add more that would work, but I don't think I'd try to take off the already fused ones.

I agree, if it really bothers you (I couldn't see the problem at first) add some more berries and leaves to look as if this was preplan ONLY if you are expecting the Quilt Police to come over during the holidays !!

I agree with BellaBoo. Just call this your "design element"! Love the quilt!

I agree I have never been able to remove fusible. It stays sticky forever. Add more leaves and berries, it could even become a little wreath if you wanted it to be. Very pretty really , I wouldn't worry.

I am usually one to say "if it isn't the way you want it to be, change/fix it"

However, in this case, it really does look like it's "supposed to" to me.
