Default I wanted to scream and laugh at the same time!!

I have been working on finishing a log cabin quilt that I bought half finished from a friend of my mother's. the outer border was prety wide. so, I thought I'd just trim it up and use the trimmings for the binding. I ironed it and laid it on the arm of the couch beside the quilt and left to go to church Sunday morning. when I got home, my binding was gone. I have to explain that my DH and I are caregivers for his mother, who is best fast. And, he was home with her alone!! And, I also have to explain that my DH is a quilter of sorts who only uses 2&1/2 inch blocks in his quilts. Well, you guessed it. My DH had "found" my binding and cut it into 2 & 1/2 inch blocks!! What do you think about that? I wanted to scream!!! then I had to laugh!!

I think screaming and laughing are both appropriate... Who'd have thought you would have to hide your binding. Oh well, there are other bindings, but just one DH.

How lucky can you be? A DH who quilts and watches his mom. Sounds like he is the total package. Next time hide things.

Well, it at least it got used and not tossed! I think a lot of us have "purloined" plenty of things from the toolboxes and workbenches for our needs so I guess it's karma...What goes around, comes around. Your DH is a keeper!

Yes, scream and laugh. It is frustrating but hilarious at the same time. So does this give you the rights to dig through his stash to shop ?
