Lightbulb Mary Ellen's Best Press

I was reading one of the other posts which mentioned diluting Mary Ellen's to make it go further & lessen cost. I like to use it when pressing seams but their sprayer wastes so much on an 8 inch block. I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and purchased a 3 oz travel aerosol sprayer. It gives a fine mist in a small area so no waste. I'm going to try a larger hair spray sprayer and see if it will work better for pressing fabric. The only drawback is not having a trigger to pull instead of depressing the top of the sprayer.

I am one that dilutes the Mary Ellen's too. I've often thought about getting a bottle that would give a smaller spray area. I agree, it does spray wide!! Thanks for the suggestion of the pump spray bottle!

I haven't tried diluting it, but great idea. Thanks I will give that a try.

I buy my Best Press online at JoAnn's when they have 50% off coupons. Cuts the cost way down.

I don't think I want to dilute the spray, that seems like a waste of money instead of saving money. I like the smaller bottle idea.

How about putting it in one of the squirt bottles that lets you narrow the spray size? If you use it carefully you would not get too much spray at a time I would think.
