Where I work (a bank) has locked down the computers and I can't get on the qb any more or pinterest, or email, or facebook or anywhere! . So it makes for a very long day at work. The bank I work at isn't very busy and it's in a small, small town.

Since I got my new (to me) sewing machine I've been trying to learn how to use it. So that's part of the reason why I haven't gotten on at night. I've been a good girl and trying to read and watch youtubes so I know how to use it to the best. But then again it's so fancy that when I sit down to it I forget how to do any thing :0

Since I did the QR code quilt I haven't really wanted to do much as far as quilting so I've been mainly doing embroidering. Which is a shame because the new machine has a 12 inch throat instead of the 7 1/2 I used doing that quilt.

Welcome back! How dare your employer shut down your internet access! How do they expect you to get thru the day? I finally got a smartphone last month for my birthday and I really don't know how I survived without it!

I have a smart phone but we're not even suppose to have the phones in the bank! Now most everyone (to include me) do but they could get ticky about it if they wanted.

I'm sure part of the reason they don't is because we aren't the main branch and the president and CEO never come to see us.

Can be pretty boring! At least at my branch the cameras aren't connected to the president's office.

I'm still trying to figure out how to be able to bring my cutting table, fabric, rulers and rotary cutters to cut fabric while we're not busy.

In this economy you can't do anything to jeopardize your employment but you have my sympathy. I like to use my Ipad on the same table as my sewing machine. I can pause the YouTube videos as I sew along at my machine. A 12 inch harp on our machines sounds great!

When I worked, yes computers but no Internet. But my job was so full of deadlines there was no time for browsing. How times have changed. Ok now I am retired, and I wish had more time for sewing!

I'm glad you are back. With a 12" throat machine I would really be sewing up alot of quilts. I am making my 17th quilt for this year. I work for my husband and can do aything I want when my work is done.
