Default Tin Lizzie question

Has Tin Lizzie gone out of business? I can no longer reach them online. Their Facebook page says they have a new website address but doesn't list it. I am (once again) having problems with my machine. When I first start it up it does fine but as soon. As it gets warmed up the stitches race as as fast as it can go for a minute. Usually the thread breaks at that point. Any suggestions helpful.

Do you have a stitch regulator connected. After several years of putting up with this, I found it was the knob that governs the stitch length. I gave it a good tweak and haven't had problems since, so perhaps there's a loose connection in there. None of the sewing mechanics could offer any help, even the guy I bought the machine from. There may be a better regulator available now. Do let us know how you go with the owners.

Gay, it does this on the Lizzie stitch and the constant stitch. I have unplugged everything but hadn't helped. Will keep you posted.

I believe I can assist you with this issue, it just happened to me as well, if you take a magnifying glass and check out the tiny posts in the inside of your plug which is above the lizzie stitch, one of those tiny posts may have been inadvertently bent over, and it can be straightened up using a pair of fine metal tweezers, just be gentle and use a flashlight, someone may have ti hold the magnifying glass for you. There are a few tiny posts inside that plug, and if you have had it out and it was put back on, it could very easily bent over one of those posts. Failing that, you may need a new cord for that plug, if you cannot get it fixed. We were told the Parts for those tin lizzie's are getting scarce, as are the rails.
