I was checking on featherweights and came across the website from a fellow who refurbishes featherweights and has a 221 for $800 which is completely gone over from top to bottom, case is refurbished and like new comes with 5 bobbins, instruction manual
    oil,several attachments, and more.

No I would not. There are plenty of FW out there in very good shape for a whole heck of a lot less than $800.

I totally agree with this. You can find them all day long on eBay for $225 or so. And in very good condition with all the attachments and a good case.

Nope. I got a nice Featherweight on Ebay for $218 and my husband found another one that was very nice at an antique shop for $300. Keep Looking. It took me awhile to win an auction on Ebay but it was worth the effort.

Put me down as another no. I'd have to think twice about going much higher than $300.

Absolutely NO!! There are lots of beautiful featherweights out there that are less than half of that.

HOW MUCH????? I have just bought one on e-bay in UK for 57!!! Just had it completely overhauled by mechanic and he told me its the best machine he's seen in ages!!!! It came with lots of extras, original oil can etc. There are better bargains out there!! Hope you get as lucky as me!!! The mechanic charged me 40! So for less than 100 I have a first class machine!!

I paid $400 for mine which was in superb condition with almost equally good case and had all the attachments including buttonholer. It has worked very well for me and I expect it to continue to do so.
