Purchased the thread several years ago. Was not that impressed with it. Seemed wound on the spool loosely.

I have used ikea thread and hate it. Very limp and hard to thread into needles. I will use up what i have but will not buy more. Love their sewing shears and the new sewing kit though. Like everything else at IKEA you must pick and chose.

I ddon't think my Ikea carries thread but they do carry fabric. Most all of it is very large modern print, great for bags and such. Too heavy I think for pillowcases. I always look....pet and walk away, large modern isn't my forte but do think my daughters would love something made with it...someday I'll buy some.

I bought some a couple of years ago to use as backings for children's quilts... have not used it yet.. it is heavier.. more like the weight of flannel. Each time I go back I look and have not seen it there any more... I have never seen threads... I got this in the kids section.. So it was kids related... It was on sale 3 meters for 5.99. So I feel like I got a great deal. One was a Christmas pattern I am sure that I will find a use for that!!!

I bought some solid blue on clearance that I thought would be good for backings on quilts for baby boys. I did have to cut it myself. It was a great price but I have not used it yet.

I purchased some that was perfect for backing. It had the lower thread count and I use it rather than sheets.

I couldn't find a chambray I was looking for but Ikea had a cotton duvet cover of the exact fabric I wanted. I cut it apart and made the quilt my little grandson loves. It came with pillow shams and I decorated them with the leftover "bugs" that we cut from his crib skirt and bumper pads. Interesting project but came out cute.

The last time I looked (quite a few years ago), Marimekko was what they were carrying.
