I'm a little excited and not a lot of people will get this but on the weekend I found a person that will mark a whole cloth quilt for me. I pick the pattern and the fabrics and she will mark the entire top for me! I'm so excited. It's on my bucket list of things to make. its only a 2 hour drive to get to her place but I'm really excited.

Just needed to share that with you ladies.

I'm jealous!! I've been looking for a queen whole cloth quilt that I like the design on. I'n not an ornate person and most of them are just too much for me.

I feel for you, I love quilting but hate marking.

This woman that marks them is a mennonite woman that has about 20 patterns to choose from. and all are very well priced, the woman that told me about her got her top marked for $25 (you have to buy the material for it to go on but that was fairly well priced as well). Save me the headache and I'll pay to have it marked. Now to just find a day that I can go and pick one out... ok maybe 2 for that price.

I made my own design with the help of a friend 25 years ago. For you quilters who are willing to try it is very rewarding. You only have to draw 1/4 of the design and then copy it. Mine has a simple oval in the center with very large flowers, lines radiating out from the oval and a figure S, on its side, as border.
