Default I'm looking for a 10" pattern that looks like Ohio Star On Point.......

I am looking for an Ohio Star On Point and am trying to avoid bias edges. I've found a 12-inch "Pieced Star" using flying geese on the edges that when turned on point is the Ohio Star, but I really need a 10" size. I don't have a clue (or the software) to alter the 12".....Anybody out there have an easy solution? If there is one, I know it will come from here. Thanks in advance!

An Ohio star is a 9 patch block. Maybe this will help.

Edit:OOps. You need a special ruler for that, maybe someone with EQ can help you.

Update:
http://www.patchworksquare.com/mf/sa...uilt-block.pdf
if anyone is interested, the pattern I needed to LOOK like the Ohio Star on point is the Sawtooth Star with some adjustment to the center square (easy to do). This site give a 6", 9", and 12" option.....(9" is close enough for me). Thanks!

If you are interested in NOT losing your points, you might try this way of making the block.
You'll see that this graphic makes a 12" block, BUT, with the way it's made, you can easily trim each block to the exact size you want.

A Ohio star is squares by 3 squares. 10" doesn't divide easily. Must it be 10? Perhaps 9? Any block "on point" is simply a square block rotate so the corners are north, south, east and west

you are among quilters. Ask for the exact block you want.

I also have directions for a 10" sawtooth star block but mine is not the stitch and flip method that ghostrider's is and I think the stitch and flip method is a lot easier.
