Way to go!!!! Isn't it more fun than walking thru a fabric store? Bless the lady that collected it all and bless you for giving it all a good home. I'm sure she would be happy that it went to someone that will treasure it. Now go make something beautiful...
Lack of planning on your part does NOT nessessitate an emergency on my part.

Good for you. I need to go through my fat quarters and stuff and have a garage sale, I just hate to part with it that way but I doubt my only child, a son, will know what to do with it so maby one day I will start to do something. For now, I am looking forward to retiring within the next year and hope to use a lot of it.

The Magic Fabric Fairy really came through!!! Congratulations, what a great score. I haven't gone out yard sale shopping or thrift shop snooping as yet but am hoping when I do I'll be lucky too.

Great for you, but so sad that these families don't know what they have...

I went to an auction tonight that was to have a big bunch of fabric but after the ad came out she decided not to sell it. She did have 2 quilters for sale but they did not meet the reserve on them. I was disappointed because that was the reason I went to the auction.

Congrats on such a great find! The best I've done is finding 3 vintage sheets for $1.99 each at Thrift Town a couple of weeks ago!! One of these days, though, it'll be my turn. Have a great time with your haul!
