I have been pickin' at one quilt since friday. and I have a new love in my life. A razor knife. It is my new best friend. hehe. Got it today and have taken almost three full squares out with some really "nasty" wandering quilting stitches in them.

There must be something in the air, then. I've been pickin' and trying to grin on current project. I started the quilt as a Turning Twenty patter, absolutely hated it, took it all apart and recut the same pieces and now am putting it together an entirely different way. Seems I can't figure that out either, as I sewed many of the pieces upside down - so here I go again. I WILL finish this quilt!

I spent all day yesterday cleaning my sewing room. At first I was excited, then I started to get overwhelmed, then mad, finally I just told myself " You need to stop for today b/c you are starting to hate everything around you". So believe it or not I did stop- closed the door and had dinner then watched the game but it only went 5 innings and got rained out :( Then I started hating baseball so I went to bed!!!! :D:D:D:D

I need to do that on the quilt that I have on the long arm right now. The quilting is horrible, I'm just not experienced enough to do the work that I WANT to do. I'm definately going to use a razor knife.

Back to simple quilts and quilting patterns, the "good" quilts will have to wait.

An instructor was teaching us maple leaf paper piecing. She had made a whole quilt. Her husband said she had to do so many unsews, he thought the pattern was "ah, shit".

rofl. that is way too funny. think that we should all do quilts with a bit of red in them when we use the razor to rip. that way when we poke ourselves it will not be too obvious that we bleed on the quilt. hehe
