Good for you! After making many quilts (but can't consider myself 'seasoned') I still get a thrill with the first block made for a new quilt. May you always experience that joy!

Are you kidding? I still get excited when my block is the right size or when I try a new block and it turns out. I sew get what you are saying. Just one word of warning - you have just started the first step on your road to a fabulous hobby that some may call an addiction. lol

Proud of you! Keep up the good work.

When I retired from teaching, I taught quilting at a local Sew & Vac shop. I would use traded in machines to teach sewing & for those who wanted to learn to quilt, I would have them make a pot holder. I wanted them to go through the complete process from piecing the top to binding. They would be so proud of their completed project.

Your post brought back memories of my first quilt. It was a bowtie quilt I made for my first grandson. Many years have passed but I still remember the good feeling of accomplishment! Keep up the good work!!
