Your comment made me laugh, I am 70 and have been quilting less than a year, I have to work it in to my schedule of tournament golf, and ladies league, of which I am a board member and treasurer, water aerobics at the Y, gardening, walking 2+ miles a day, with my dog, gourmet cooking, taking care of my husband, who has some health problems, keeping up with grandkids, and really feeling like I am only 40 on the inside, ( never quite sure why my mothers face keeps showing up in my mirror) anyway, enjoy each day to the fullest, and don't fret about tomorrow, no one knows how many of them there will be. I feel that way sometimes. There sre so many patterns I want to try and I am always drawing out ideas. I really enjoy creating something special for those I love. I work full time so I have limited time in the evening to quilt...

If you look at the whole stack of quilts you want to make it probably looks overwhelming, however, it's like eating an elephant. You do it one bite at a time.
If I feel pressure to get a quilt done I don't enjoy it nearly as well. I try to keep one quilt done as an extra so if a request comes up I can give that one and keep working at the pace I want.

Take your time, maybe find an easier pattern and enjoy yourself. A quilt takes time ... enjoy the process.

Keep sewing and don't think about how old you are, have fun. I am 76 and started when I was 62, I love it and it keeps me young.

You know , none of us are promised the next breath but I am 62 and don't feel like I am running out of time. You might have more time if you send your tops out to be quilted and you do everything else.

If you are silly, then we all are. I think quilting is the greatest calming thing I can do. I believe that the reason God gave us eternity is so that when life is perfect, we can do what we love as much as we want. Wouldn't that be HEAVEN????? You'll have plenty of time to quilt :) :) and just THINK of the guilds we will have then :) plus we will all know each other then and talk about all the friendships we made on this wonderful forum.
