Now that you have your metal doo-hickies, be on the look out for screw driver doo-hickies for your peg board. They are a little metal loop for holding screwdrivers but I like them for other things. You can get several pairs of scissor stuck through one. There are lots of neat metal accessories for peg board, look them over and re-purpose them.

Store Fixtures
Look up "store fixtures or store displays" we have a local store
that supplies the retail market in our area. I have been able to go in and buy whatever I need to display items in my new collection of sewing/quility vintage items. The hooks, holders, hanging tabs, acrylic displays, etc. I also have about 900+ set of S&P shakers on display
. With this mild winter, I have been able to open up the guest room windows and work on creating one corner of my sewing santuary at a time. I am considering putting up the white/slatboard walls next.

But I am only at the beginning of my organizational journey and want nothing to to with those batty things, I even refuse to read their directions. They are captured in a ziplock bag and now are hanging on their own little metal do-jobber, encased in an airtight prison, until called out for duty.
So, has anyone else been through this fun dilemma? Any and all advice is welcomed! (not bat jokes, please...lol)

I bought dowel rods to fit the holes and cut then the length I needed and then I glued them in the holes and all my thread is now on the wall. Plus another piece of pegboard is holding a lot of other notions and I can see it all.

Good tip. I have lots of paper clips. Can't hang thread from them but rulers, cutting boards, etc can hang on them. Thanks for this tip.

I've been able to find the metal pegboad hanger thingys at my local thrift store - a huge bag stuffed full for $2 - there were probably well over 100 of them in there, in different sizes. Just a thought
