Default Insul-Bright

Oh, great quilting gods & goddesses--

I want to make some quilted wine totes and I want them to help keep the wine COLD.

Have purchased Insul-Bright to use--should the shiny side go towards the interior or the exterior?

Is the extra layer of a cotton batting necessary? Should I use more than one layer of cotton batting?

Any other suggestions before I dive into this project? Don't want to get frustrated and have to dive into the wine!

Shiny side towards the bottle to reflect the cold back in....same as heated applications. I would not add extra batting for cold uses, but that's just an opinion. I'd want the bag to be as thin as possible.

Wow -- what a great idea -- have some left over from another project, and taking a bottle of wine to an event tonight -- know what I'll be doing today! Mahalo!
