Quilt donations for developmentally disabled?

Not a specific one...but if you can find a local Project Linus chapter near you , you can join for free and we have free donated fabric you can use for quilts. We have a group of Dis. ladies who embroider on squares for us and put quilt kits together. You can also try "freecycle.org". In your area you may find people giving fabric away. You can also do a "wanted" post and ask for fabrics,etc. Check into it. Good luck.

Beth, MANY years ago I was a CNA at a nursing home and the 1st floor that I worked on was only the developmentally disabled. You can check the nursing homes in your area to see if they have a floor for the D.D. Not all nursing homes are for the aged. And you could make quilts and deliver them locally. Just a thought.
