Default Irish Chain

I've a lot of 1930's fabric and I'd like to use it to make an Irish Chain. I've never seen one this way but I think it would be so pretty. Anyone know of an Irish Chain Pattern that uses the 30's fabric?

http://www.google.com/search?q=irish...w=1290&bih=760 Lots of examples available. Just decide whether you want single, double, triple... and then use any pattern. It will look great.

A pattern doesn't have to use thirties fabric, you just need to use your thirties fabric.

www.quilterscache.com has the irish chain block, with directions for making the quilt.

I'm sure you can see it on a number of other sites as well. Quilters cache is my go-to site for classic blocks.

I don't like the Quilter's Cache Irish chain block. It's different from any other IC pattern.

E. Burns has a really good IC book in her Quilt in a Day series.

I did. I was commissioned to make a quilt for the Crystal Cathedral. Their colors for their Woman's conference was the Candy Pink, Teal Turquoise and Bright Yellow. I appliqued dollies for the background. The border was made up of squares set on point. Sorry, I didn't get a picture taken.

Thanks, I just found it in one of my books that had been pushed back in the closet. In fact, there are instructions for a Scrappy Irish Quilt and it looks like the fabrics are the 1930's or at least in those colors. Can't wait to try it.

Here is one I did in 1930's reproductions. The blue is even a 30's reproduction blue shade. I used the Eleanor Burns book to make mine.

Scroll down the page until you see the Irish Chain tutorial. I made one of these, it turned out quite nice.

I made a Triple Irish chain quilt using the Quilt in a day book...worked great...you can use any fabric for the quilt and I think it would look great in 30's!
