Default Can you help to identify these fabrics?

Good morning Ladies (and Gents)

A couple of weeks ago I purchased some pre-cut fat quarters. I love these fabrics and would like to get a hold of more, but cut from the bolt not in fat quarters. I am trying to find the manufacturers name of these, but unusually there are no identifiers on the selvedges. I contacted the shop where I bought thee, but they would only say they had bought the pre-cut from a wholesaler: they wouldn't even let me have the wholesaler's name. I asked if they would make enquiries, but I don't hold out much hope.

I know thee are many people that see this board, and am hoping that someone may be able to give me a clue to manufacturers/designers' names or where I can obtain some more. I am in the UK but my daughter in the US can always shop for me. This fabric is really lovely and very unusual.

Can anyone help?

Thank you - Mandie.

Sorry...no help. They are very pretty and I can see why you would want yardage. Welcome to QB.

Benartex is carried by a commonly used wholesaler, so you might check their website. It's pretty, but I don't recognize the print.

Can't say for sure but the blue and black look like some Australian fabrics I've seen advertised. I think AQS might sell them. You might try their website or google Australian fabric.

Hi there.
Try http://www.vlisco.com/
They are in the Netherlands and import a lot of high quality third world fabrics. Even if you don't see these specific ones, prepare to be amazed.

I agree with the post above. It does not look like anything that the US fabric manufactures would produce. Not one selvage had anything written on it?? Welcome to the board.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I have looked at AQS but nothing similar has come up. The Aboriginal fabrics are close, and are wonderful: the Vlisco site is brilliant too. I am off to Holland in the Spring, so will check that one out when I am there. The suggestion of taking a good photo and googling it is great - I will try that when I get my iPad charged up.

I opened up each pack to check on the selvedges - not one of them had anything printed on it. You usually expect a colour match/swatch test and the manufacturer at the very least, but not a thing. I have rung the shop again today and asked for the owner to call me back. Lets see if they do!

They look a lot like something I have had for YEARS! It is from Japan, so maybe your prints are, too.

The bottom one does look like the Aboriginal fabric. Try here: http://www.fabricandart.com/Australi...l-Fabrics.html
