I have an almost empty room with just the long arm in it so I was looking at shelving and saw THIS! The narrow shelves are sized for CDs but wouldn't that just be great for stacking fat quarters? I could imagine each section filled with a different color.

Very nice! I could use several of those units but I'm out of room!

Hey Pam, I've gone to our local IKEA store a couple of times just to look at these bookcases. That's exactly what I thought about storing FQ's in them. I brought a catalog home with me to make the final decision. You can even get doors with or without glass to put on them to keep your fabric clean. I think for the money they're a great buy!!!

I have looked at those before too. I think it would make a nice cabinet for fabrics. Be careful to keep it out of direct sunlight!!!

I thought the same thing...those would be great, but get doors if you can.

YES! Perfect. I used a CD shelf unit for a while for smaller pieces. Now I use it by my long arm and it holds thread and other stuff.

I really need to get organized. I'm feeling so cramped in my room and I know it would feel better if things weren't stacked badly and jumbled.

If I get that I would put it in my sewing room and move the cubbyholes into the long arm room. They would be better for batting and backings, etc. and these shelves would be better for fabric.
