Default Advice on thread color needed

I just finished a scrappy brights batik quilt with a black background. I am wondering what color thread to use for quilting an all-over pattern on this quilt? There are blocks of solid black too. I don't recall ever seeing a close-up picture of quilting on black.

If it was me I would go one of two ways . Use black or use a bright varigated !

I love variegated, especially against black. Stunning!

I vote for varigated too. That way your quilting will show up on the black.

I just finished a bright multicolored star with some black solid blocks and borders. I couldn't find anything that went with all the colors so used invisible thread on them. Then couldn't find a solid color I liked to use on the black so I wound up using King Tut #933 which is multicolored. It was a heavier thread than I have ever used before so my imperfect stitches are much more visible! (Everything I do seems to be a learning experience.) LOL

I tend to lean toward variegated. But I have a few questions. Who is doing the quilting? Do you like the quilting color to show on the black. The reason I ask these questions is, if you are doing the quilting and are like me . . . my quilting might not be 'good enough' to stand out on black, so I might want to 'hide' it. But if going to the quilters then I love to see color on the black.
