Thanks for giving the name of the quilt store. I once lived in Mt. Pleasant, SC and go back to visit often. Next time I'm there, I'm going to Summerville. A dealer that will go to your home when you have a problem with your achine makes me want to spend some of my quilting dollars with him. Can't wait to visit the store!

On my Janome 10001, the correct foot to use is always shown in the Machine window -- no need to look in the book.

He's also getting me a better bobbin case and a straight stitch plate.

He is so patient and even taught my 6yo how to free motion! What a great experience. I'm so excited and love my new machine now. Thanks everyone for all your encouragement to talk with him and ask for help. If i didn't that machine would sadly be in the closet where it does not belong.

He is teaching a t shirt quilt class at my quilt store and I am going to take it I can't wait! yay! I love great customer service. I will def come back for more machines in the future and will send people to him ;)

Edited to add the name of the shop! It's "People Places and Quilts" in Summerville SC It's an awesome store in downtown Summerville, if you are ever in the Lowcountry you need to stop and visit!
I've had one for 25 years. Don't know what I'd do without him.

I absolutely love People Places and Quilts!! I travel for a living and do a show in Charlston the first of May, just in time for their anniversary sale. I always go to the Summerville shop as it is easy to get to and parking isn't a problem. I love the staff there, they are so knowlegeable
(did I even come close to spelling that right?) and friendly. Lucky you, living close enough to take classes there! They probably won't remember me, but tell them the 2 ladies from Arkansas said hello!

Your dealer is one of a kind although we found everyone very, very kind and gracious when we were in the Charleston area for my breast cancer surgery. Still have the "Charleston" fabric I bought to make a quilt commemorating the occasion. Really got to get going on it. So glad you love the area where you live. It is very beautiful.
