Default Janome walking foot breaking needles

Hello. I am having a problem and cannot seem to find a solution anywhere. My Janome MC 11000 walking foot is breaking my needles every time I have attempted to use it. This just started today. I used it without any problems a few days ago and now all of a sudden every time I attempt to use it again it is breaking my needles. I am familiar with how a walking foot works and I know how to install it. I admit my Janome is a newer machine for me but I have been using it with no problems until now. I am sure it is "user error" but I cannot find what I am doing wrong. I was using my quilting needles and now I have switched to an overall "general use" needle but it keeps happening. If anyone can help me I would be grateful.

Thanks so much!

Turn the handwheel and watch where the needle is hitting. If the needle hits the side of the walking foot, you can move the needle position to one side or the other. If it is hitting the front or back of the walking foot, you probably need to have a repair person adjust the needle position.

It sounds more like a machine issue. Is the computerized setting on far left or center needle position perhaps. Have you tried removing and re-attaching the walking foot too perhaps ?

Sometimes the touch screens can be sensitive. Could something have accidentally changed your settings? I would turn it off, wait a couple of minutes, turn it back on. Switch to another stitch, then back to the one you want and hit the default to put it back to original settings. I have this machine and have had little gremlins make changes!! Good luck.

I too agree that it must be a machine issue. Do you have service technician nearby??

Also check to see if the foot is loose. It may be sitting a little wonky if not on tightly
