If you've bought a jelly roll and found that it was NOT cut straight, would you mind posting who the manufacturer was?

Or, if your jelly roll WAS cut straight, let us know who made that one as well!

It would be nice to know if certain brands are consistently better - or more troublesome.

I just made a bed runner using a Moda jelly roll. Some of the strips were not cut straight. I wonder if you won't find one or two in every jelly roll of any manufacturer?

I have only bought a couple Moda Jelly rolls and so far all edges were straight.

I have bought just 1 jelly roll. It was from Moda. It was cut straight, but it was stretched. When I pressed the strips one side was slightly rippled.

i have not yet bought any, cause a friend who bought two Modas at high prices had problems with them rippling AND not being on the grain.....
I have been contemplating some for a strip quilt border---since those will be used as short pieces hopefully there will be no problems

I've used lots of Moda precuts, and they're almost never cut straight or to the correct size. If my project requires a lot of piecing or accuracy, I cut my strips myself.

I have used 2 Moda that were fine. I didn't realize other companies made them.

I think most/all of the Jelly Rolls I've used are from Moda. Some were
straight and some were not all straight. Sometimes there are a few miss
but it doesn't really bother me as I work my way out of this. I usually cut
the JR in half for easy handling and starching. I try to match a bad cut with
a good one and use the good one as a guideline for piecing. It works most
of the time. If the cut is off by 1/4" or so then we have a problem and I
would just discard the ugly "V". It doesn't happen very often and I can
usually work with the rest of the strip. Hope this helps those who have
trouble working with JR. :-)
