I bought a jelly roll at Han. and a pattern elsewhere. Now I don't the right amount of strips that the pattern calls for--ex. 28 strips of creams. What do you suggest? Help! Thank you. Sherry McD

Cut 2 1/2" x 44" strips from fabric you already have. That's what I'd do.

I agree. Go through your stash or visit the fabric store and get the extras you need.

Thank you. The problem is, I don't have much of a stash. But I'll check. smcd

if fabric is, at strict retail, no sale, $9 a yard, then 1/4 yard costs$2.25. you can get 3 strips of 2.5 x 44 strips. if you mix and match them with what you have, no one will notice that they aren't part of the set.

What is the pattern that you are going to use? Would love to see what you are going to make?

I have found a pattern named "Keyholes" from "On a Roll" by Heather Mulder Peterson. Fortunately it utilizes all 40 strips. Sooo, when I'm caught up with 2 projects, I'll start with it. Unless it's time to work in the yard. sherry mcd Yhanks for asking
