I haven't gotten into the jellyroll quilts yet. But, I just wanted to say I love love the portabello line of fabrics. I hope you are going to show and tell pam.

It's only half done but this is jelly rolls. The blocks are large, 14 1/2" I believe but would have to measure it again. It's going together really fast, especially when you don't have to cut strips.

(I realized when I looked at the picture that I laid the bottom right one the wrong way).

Yep, you need to turn that block so your star will show. Very nice.

There is a scrappy tutorial on bargello quilting and it is 2 1/2strips...just the size of your bali pops!:)Keep us posted:)

I used this tutorial as a starting point. Made my tubes and started with a one inch strip and gradually made them wider. If I just moved the next strip up a little bit it was a gradual curve and if I moved it up two inches it was a steeper curve. Laid it out on my floor to decide how I wanted it. After a few false starts it came together and is one of my favorite quilts. I kept this one for me.

Pam, This is beautiful! I've been flirting with the idea of using one of my jelly rolls for a log cabin. Thank you for showing how it's coming together.

Thank you for your help, littlehud. Do you have any pictures of this quilt? Today I plan to choose my colour order and sew the strips together. That will be a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon, in my sewing room with cheerful colours!

I've made one so far and loved it. all the cutting done, so you can start right in with the fun part. Pattern was called "Split Decision". Wish I could post a pic, but I gave it to my grand daughter for Chritmas, so it is in NC and I'm in NY. I need to remember to take photos before I let these quilts leave my house :cry:

Here's one I made with Bali pops they are the same all Jelly rolls, and one with a jelly roll, I have another one is process but haven't posted a picture yet.

I used Still Stripping book for these patterns.
