Default JukiTL2020Q Needle Threader

Edit- sorry! It's the TL 2010 Q!!!

Mine is a dud. My Bernina threader works every single time. I can't get my Juki threader to work at all.
I saw a video on Youtube where the person showed how to use that birdie threader. I have one and I think I'll just use it and forget about the threader.
Anyone else have trouble with theirs?

Have you tried different needle/thread combinations? Did it work previously? Make sure the needle is inserted all the way into the needle slot. The threader may need to be replaced.

I had an issue with the auto threader on my machine (not juki) and had the dealer check it. They replaced the threader in about 10 minutes. I love that feature.

Good luck!

I have machines that have needle threaders. One is very fussy about it....If I don't use the Needle Up/Needle Down - the needle won't be exactly in the right spot for the thread to go through.....One of the other machines had a threader that worked and then it didn't......it had to be adjusted just a tiny bit to go right to the needle hole. It can be aggravating....

I had the TL98 also with the same threader. Now I have the TL2010. I had a horrid time until I found this video and something clicked... now no troubles at all. https://www.youtube.com/user/elbertd.../0/oiMNQr15e5s

The threader on my Juki TL-18QVP only worked part of the time when I first got it. I got my magnifying glass out and discovered that the threader wasn't going through the eye of the needle each time. Tweeked it a little and it's worked great ever since.

Jim

PS: Forgot to mention that it's important to make sure that the thread is pulled properly into the threader before releasing it.

I have been sewing great guns on my 2010Q for years, and I've never gotten the threader to work. I was just given a birdie threader in a swap and will use that when I can't thread it without.

I have a Juki 2010 and I've never been able to get the needle threader to work! I have a Janome HD3000 and that needle threader is fantastic but the Juki one is garbage. I just thread it on my own, it's tricky and I need my glasses and a lot of light but I can do it thankfully.

I saw a video about the birdie threader and have one. I think I'll just stick to that. My threader hasn't worked from day one.
But I love the machine so it's a small issue. (annoying though)

Believe me, I feel your pain. Love my Bernina needle threaders but my TL 2010 is the pits. And because the eye faces the left instead of straight on, like every other machine’s doubly bad.

In fact, just this afternoon, after the fifth time trying to make it work, I watched a video, finally got it threaded 🙄. But honestly speaking, it was just the law of averages and my time had finally arrived 🤷🏻‍♀️
