Its frustrating when you hit a road block. You said something about maybe a scrappy. Here's a wonderful site that may give you some inspiration.

It happens to almost everyone at some time. I am going through the same thing right now. My husband was hospitalized for over a week in early April and had surgery and then spent 2wks in a nursing home. Now he is home and I am doing his IV therapy. It's not so much a lot of physical work but am sleeping less than my usual 4hrs so am pretty wiped out. But this too will pass, it always does. Just be patient. Maybe do the FabShopHop for some inspiration.

After a year of moving me, my kids, and doing for others, I too had a block against quilting. I find that time away makes me more creative. With our house closing in view (June 1st) and a daughter getting settled in her new home, I'm finally beginning to feel the urge to create again!

Take your time, don't obsess, and just see what takes you back to your creative side. It may be just a simple project, it may be stepping aside for awhile. Remember, this is supposed to be fun.:)

The ask a Friend thing is neat I was in Joanns the other day with a gal pal that can't even sew on a button, and just for the heck of it I said hey pick out 3 fat quarters in purple or shades that go with it and she picked out the most awsome purple print and matched colors out of that she even said I like this color it makes this pop! This from a non sewer......... So I bought them and made my mom and her male friend Mug Rugs from them to cool. So by all means ask a friend to go with you or even come over and go through your stach you just never know......... I know I will ask her advice again that is for sure.
Friends are wonder tools so to speak.

You need to find a quiting guild in your area. If you were around more quilters, you would be cranking out something. What quilters do is inspire others to go into their stash and start sewing something. You need the relationship and this will give you more inspiration. My friends call me, we swap fabrics, books and even visit from time to time. This will help you when you have that hump that you need to get over. I promise this will help.

Ok. I think it may be the change of seasons or something. I have been seeing people on here doing all kinds of things and I am just not feeling it. Haven't for quite a while. Pretty much since I moved back in November. I have the time plenty of it. I have a room all to myself. I have fabric. And nothing!!! Can't get myself motivated to do anything. At least its nice to know I am not alone in feeling this way. :-)

I think it is akin to "Spring Fever". I too have been decidedly non-motivated for the last couple of weeks. I have only managed one block for my "It's good to be Square" quilt and last night, I did one of my crazy quilt type scrap squares before going to bed, just so I wouldn't feel like totally useless.

I think it's the weather. Here in Michigan it was finally in the 80's last week. Then the week-end. Rain, rain, and more rain and temp in the 40's. What the heck--it's almost June!!! depressing. The sun is shining today, maybe it's finally going to be warm. There is always hope.

Have you looked at the Gallery here on the board? http://www.quiltingboard.com/user_page.jsp?upnum=2181

Great way to view quilts for inspiration. I don't feel like I am very good with color either, but I sometimes see something I really like and try to find similar fabrics in my little stash that might be just as pleasing.

Hope this passes soon....
