I am so excited! I just finished my first quilt top. It is in the Window Wreath Pattern. I'll try to post a photo later today. One of my corners was just a little off, but I was proud of myself for a first try. Very emotional too, I lost my son last year and felt I needed something in my life to get me through the winter. His name was Joshua and he was only 26 years old. The quilt top is spread out on his bed right now. I think he'd smile! The Lord blesses us in many ways doesn't he?

Congratulations!

I think this is a wonderful way to honor and remember your son. I hope the pain will ease for you in time.

Can't wait to see the pix. Sorry about losing your son. It must be very difficult. Sewing is one of the best things for contemplative thinking. I usually just like quiet when I sew as I find it very soothing to be working with fabric and thinking too. Congrats on finishg your first quilt!

Oh I can't wait to see the quilt on Joshua's bed! For sure, he was with you while you were making it.

Congratulations, God is good, and I'm sure your son is proud. I have never made a perfect top, and don't intend to. Perfection is over rated if you ask me. Quilts have always represented comfort to me, and that is what is most important. They give comfort to the person making them, and the person who uses them. I am so sorry for the loss of your son, but glad you found some comfort.
