For some reason I decided to straighten through my quilting room. And started to clean and restock items in clear boxes that were then identified in magic marker black. Each one was a prepared stack of fabric with a copy of the pattern in it and on the front with the brown paper tape I marked the name of the person who was getting it when made for the holidays. I thought, that was easy, so I then when to the Dollar General Store and purchsed several more plastic containers that held layer cakes just perfectly. The layer cakes that were not designated were placed in one clear box. marked LAYER Cakes. Smart! Then I would have a pattern that called for one strip roll, layer cake and yardage and again with pattern copy. Stacked and labled. Noticed I had a three drawer plastic storage whatever. dumped all out and then proceeded to place any of the kits that I had available and put them in one spot. My last trip to Big lots was to get several much needed replacement scatter rugs with BACKING and I found a few more small treasures, toss them in the wagon and then stopped at the Dollar General store again. As I was walking around as if I had money in every pocket and it was all onee's and change, I noticed a shower thingy. You hand it over the shower head and it holds shampooes, etc. Thought, I could use that. Got home and using a hammer and nail I hung my shower thingy to the left of my one sewing machine and up just high enough to be out of the way. This machine did not come with a plastic case that could be stood up and held needles, feet, etc. So, I hung one of my smaller rotary cutters on one hanger, on the other my sisscors and a small ruler and I noticed that I could lay spools of my neutral colored thread within the wire bottom. I then cut out a double with of heavy, but thin plastic and made a nice floor to lay along the one row that normally would be holding tall plastic things of shampoo. And sat small plastic containers that fir in there perfectly and two help the extra feet to my Pfaff and the third one is empty at the present but I'm sure I will find something to go into it. Total cost of everything, $12.00 and change. Worth every penny and now I will eat something go to the other machine and gently and slowly continue on with my braid pattern. Of which I am using 5" x 2 1/2" strips. Isn't fun to be able to enjoy a place where you can just put it the way you really want it to be, but don't have the money for the expensive stuff. Yep.. it's been a lovely day for. When I get a bit more on my braid I will happily have show and tell in the Picture room.

I worked on my sewing area in my living room yesterday, I took over one of our book cases and refolded all fabric and tried to put it in colors, and used a plastic open thingy to put strips etc in. I only had enough fabric for two rows of the bookcase, but it will grow. And that is thanks to Bluestarmom and a couple of earlier gifters. But I hope to practice quilting, my husband made me one of those platform quilting tables to go around my sewing machine and I haven't tried it yet. So that is my project for this evening. We will have our internet back on this Wed. so I will talk to you'all then. I am at the library now. We have been using their internet and dvd. works good. Thanks , Jackie

All sounds good to me. I don't know what I would do without Dollar store plastic boxes.
