In the march/april quilts with style they had a beautiful wall hanging with kanji characters for love happiness and harmony. I loved it and made the kanji panels. It was a lot of work but beautiful.
What I'm looking for are the kanji symbols for health, strength or life in paper piecing.
I want to make some of the preemie quilts to donate to the neonatal units and thought that would be fitting to put in the center. If I can't find it in paper piecing I will just do it in applique since I have the the symbols.

Do you just want the kanji characters or a way to paper piece them?

I need the paper pattern. I down loaded the characters, and as a last resort I will applique them onto the quilt.

Have you considered creating the paper piecing from the pictures of the symbols you have? Here is a site that explains how to create a paper pieced design. There are probably other sites too:

I was about to say that you might be better off trying to make your own paper piecing pattern. I doubt a website would have a pattern for the exact symbols you have so it'll most likely be easier to make your own rather than spend a lot of time trying to find a website that has it.

Thanks for the ideas, I guess I was at that point anyway. "How hard can it be", famous last words.

Thanks for the site, it was interesting, and I am going to give it a try.
