Since my Granddaughter did the cutting up of her mothers wash cloths and towels to make a quilt something good came out of it. My Grand daughter and her friends got into the quilting by using paper, crayons and markers. Well they used 2 reams of paper and taped and glued there blocks to the wall in the basement and that wasn't so good! Several of the mothers who live in there neighborhood got interested in learning how to quilt and the big shock is my daughter in law wants to learn to! This past Saturday we had our first meeting and we had so much fun. We went shopping for fabric and all the things that we needed for quilting. The girls got into a spat over fabric, that you can't use the same fabric as I am! After shopping we went to Micdonalds and headed back to start our quilting. Our group is 9 adults and 8 kids and we call our group Saturday morning quilters.

Way to go. What a fun Saturday. I would love to join you all (the commute is a deal breaker). Every Saturday morning I'll be thinking of you.

The kids are between the age 6 and 7 and they love to make things. I am so glad that the mothers decided to join in and learn quilting as well. Gotta keep the quilting craft going with the generations.
