It is a tulip applique quilt pattern - very Pennsylvania Dutch looking - lots of yellow and red....saw it in a Family Circle or Womans Day (I think!).
Kept it for years, but now that I have time/knowledge to work on it, I can't find it!!
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Flybreit,
Welcome to the board from Nevada.
Do you remember anything about the pattern? Were the tulips in a circle? Or how about meeting in the middle to form a crest design? This was very typical of that age and it would be hard without some discription for anyone to know what you are looking for. Try and tell us what it looked like.

Thanks for the welcome!
Good point about the layout being helpful - I'm not the brightest bulb in the box!
If memory serves - they were in a crest type pattern: four tulips, stems to the middle with the flowers and leaves pointing to the outside. These were the blocks. There was also some viney applique in the borders - tulips, stems, leaves.
One thing I remember about the article is that there was an intentional imperfection in the quilting. This was following a native American tradition that humans are incapable of perfection.
Thanks for looking!
