Default Bonnie Hunter En Provence question

Does anyone have the finished size as Bonnie wrote? I finished and put in the wash with a new batting and forgot to measure before hand. I want to know what the shrinkage of the batting was. Thanks

Bonnie's Intro says that the quilt will finish at 87x87.

Thank you. The quilt is now 80x80. Yikes!

I don't think you can go by Bonnie's measurements. Just a hair difference in your 1/4" seam could add or subtract more than an inch either way because there are so many pieces in a "Bonnie" quilt

That would be almost 10% shrinkage. But Bonnie's 87" was in the intro. Looking further along in the pattern, the finished block is 15". 3" finished sashing all around adds 15", so the 4 blocks with sashing are 75". The border width finishes at 3", which brings it up to 81". If my figures are right, that would be the final size, not 87".

Wow, that seems like a lot of shrinkage.

    That sounds right.

Actually there are 2 three-inch borders on that quilt to make it 87 x87. I had to look--mine measures 89 x 92! No idea how that happened. It hasn't been washed yet. I'm sure I squared those block!!!
