Having a glass of sangria and feeling somewhat accomplished. Finished 2 pillowcases to match DH's new quilt. Pieced a QFK and pressed the backing...it is now ready to be quilted. I cut out 2 more QFKs and one is half pieced. Also finished the binding on one small flannel quilt that was half done; two more to go, but they aren't easy. WHEW! I think I will need a second glass of sangria. Much more to be done tomorrow.

Well I went to class and as the photo shows nothing done for me. Spent the time dashing to the doctor and helping a newbie. She is doing a very large bed quilt with a small janome so we have divided into 3 sections. Yesterday she put a border around the section on 3 sides pressed and eventually sandwiched at end of day. Discussed the quilting pattern and she is going home to use her walking foot and quilt it. . I was that exhausted when I came home I fell asleep. Good job no family to feed only 3 dogs who went to sleep with me.

Well, before I get into too much quilting today, I'm going shopping. I need a new 1/4" foot for my Janome, the little metal hook thingie is bent and keeps catching on my fabric. Also, one of our LQS has over 100 bolts of novelty fabric for $5/yd and over 100 bolts of other fabric for $3/yd. Can't pass that up! Will try to remember to post a picture of what I "accomplish" there

This is "The Never Ending Red Quilt" that I have been quilting all week. Maybe I'll get her finished by Sunday.

Yes, my studio is my entire house! When we moved to San Antonio, we down-sized considerably & there is no sewing room, so I took over the entire house. Love open-concept living! I'm set up right in front of the fireplace. Not a problem as I don't think we'll ever have a fire. Had one at last place. Lived there for nearly 12 years & had only 3-4 fires that entire time.

I'm working on finishing my third quilt, very pleased so far...I have found a guide for that perfect scant 1/4", and my 1 1/2" blocks and sashing are looking better. I'm entering it in an online contest. Will post a pic when done for constructive criticism!

I will be sewing all weekend but my weekend starts tomorrow! I am working on a round robin that needs the rows I made attached and corner stones which I have no idea what I am doing on those.. then I can quilt a table runner that is sitting to the machine along with a baby quilt that is half quilted.. I know how lame but other projects needed mailing on time for swaps so it got pushed aside. I would rather start on a new project I love making the tops.. I hate quilting them. so.. wish me luck on finishing those three projects. I have the time so there should be no excuse. I will post pics as I finish each one. I am loving the pictures posted the star quilt in all those bright colors is gorgeous then of course the red one.. how fun that is and the one block wonder blue quilt how beautiful and elegant that will look and well all the rest.. I have never made a bag, a casserole carrier or any other fun things like that. One day.. when I find time.. and my ufo box is decimated. I need 100 weekends like this to truly decimate it.. it keeps growing!!
