Maybe it needs a new name ... International Beauty or When Friends Sew Together or some such! I was surprised how many of mine, made it into that section of the quilt ... and yup, saw that goose winking. Maybe it was a Canada Goose, in disguise?

Wow DHM, that was a lot of work!!! I don't like the last one either but I do like the same outer border with the gold inner border.

Because all of the "donor counties" are English speaking countries, the name will be either "Broken English" or "An Adventure in English". haven't decided yet. "An Adventure in English" is one of my all-time favorite non-fiction books explaining the evolution of the English language. "Broken English" kind of describes the quilt though.

Yes and no ... I can say I spent far more time cutting than sewing this one because there are so many fabrics that quite a few I had to figure out the best way to cut from a cut-into scrap piece. I also did some fussy-cutting with some of the novelty prints to avoid cutting of horses heads and such. It was all chain pieced, so the piecing went fast.

I would vote for a small yellow boarder and then a larger red. Try that one.

A vote here too, DHMom. Are you going to put the stripe on the bias? That would make a sharp looking edge!

Lovely quilt! I can't quite judge the yellow inner border without seeing a longer view, but it seems as though it's a bit too bright. I vote also for the 5th close-up photo. I think that's definitely the best brown for the quilt, and the brown and gold are great together.
