I was positioning mine to the side and in front of my machine but then I read here that the full spectrum lights may affect the computer screen on the machine so now I put it to the side and behind the machine, positioning it so that it shines on the needle plate. It does get in the way sometimes but I really need the extra light.

It also works better for me at the back of the machine.

I too am interested in which one seems the best. I bought one on sale at Michaels and its a bit too small. But the other ones look too big. So I am still looking for that perfect light.

I read all the posts and not sure anyone answered the original question which was "Ott Light vs Naturalight"

There may not be any difference in them. I have both.
However, the only way to truly tell is to take some fabric and test both.

I use a "High Density Florescent Light". It's got a small 4-tube 120AC bulb and is a table lamp. Is that the same?

I don't know anything about the high density florescent but the Ott bulbs are a full spectrum light which means it is like true sunlight and shows the true colors of fabrics.
