Sorry to hear that. Will miss her. Well after all this time, she does deserve to have time to herself. I guess regretedly that she does deserve it!!! :-D Being selfish. ;-)

Liz Porter is an avid knitter, more so than quilting I think. She is very involved in the Fons & Porter Knitting magazine. It may be she made a choice to do more for the knitting magazine and can't do both. I think the mother daughter team will be a hoot!

I am happy for her. I'm going to miss her though. I've seen a few shows with the daughter and she is fun too.

Just watched the first show of the 1600 series and it just said Liz was not going to be part of the TV show anymore. I will keep watching and see how Marianne and her daughter Mary are doing. Her daughter did not seem to be as knowledgeable I thought she would be, but it was just the first show.

I also watched that show & was disappointed that Mary doesn't seem to know very much, just the basics like me,lol!! Liz & Marianne were a fantastic team together.

Well, I will really miss her on the show. Wonder where in Texas she's moving? I live in Austin. I just hope she enjoys her retirement. I'm sure enjoying mine!

So, no one has heard about the house fire that destroyed her quilts?? Is this just gossip or true?
