Have any of you been watching the news that showed the results of the torrential rains we had yesterday? Most people report that they are just going to dry out, clean up, and move back in.

Seriously, We were watching that storm. Wish some of that had come up here. These storms are quirky. It's either feast or famin. Hope you weren't affected.

No, we were not flooded. The heaviest rains were to the east of us. They got 11 inches of rain in a very short time. We received either 2 or 2 1/2 inches of rain. It was the right amount at the right time for us, but there was flooding to the south, east and north of us. From here, that storm traveled north east, flooding Texarkana, TX and leaving a swath of devastation across Arkansas. In Arkansas, another campground with both trailers and cabins was swept away. Thirty people known dead. Since they have no way of knowing how many people were staying there, they are still searching for both survivors and bodies.

eightylady,
Deb Watkins is presently hosting a Sunbonnet Sue exchange. I am not sure were in the exchange they are but you might contact her and see if she is planning to do another one soon.
I was going to join this last one but had to many irons going already.
You can either find info on the board under exchanges or go to the user list (look in the small print at the top of this page) and p.m. Deb Watkins. She is a great lady and very helpful.

My husband is from Augusta, KY. This is a small town right on the Ohio River between Cincinnati, Ohio and Maysville, KY. Much of the waterfront property has been bought up by well-to-do people from Cincinnati for summer homes.
