I had a good laugh when you asked about the lollipop. I' m French speaking, the first time I made a quilt from a magazine they were saying to fudge the seam. No one could help me with the meaning.

No, no ladies, a lolly pop has a white stick with either flat candy or a ball on the end of it. You suck on it while you quilt so that you don't have to get up and leave your quilting to eat.....LOL

so, it's an extension table that gives you more space to balance a ruler or a plastic template? i think most machines have them now. it's the equivalent of the clear acrylic extension table for a regular home machine. people are building them out of wood and acrylic themselves. look at the tin lizzie yahoo group picture gallery. they sit on the sled and create extension space.

http://tinlizzie2.homestead.com/Table.html

this is the one made by the tin lizzie company. it happens to be made of clear acrylic, but it works in the same way. it wraps around the base of the machine arm and gives you a balancing area. in this case, instead of it having the little bent over cleats on the bottom, it has little rubber feet.
