I just got new, longer ploles for my longarm frame and new leaders to go with it. The previous poles had the leaders affixed to the poles with velcro. I've heard also that one can use duct tape. Would duct tape work? Has anyone used it? Or should I stick with the velcro?

I've heard of using Elmer's Glue. I know that mine are glued on, but they were like that when I got the machine. Don't know if it's Elmer's or not.

I use velcro. I would be concerned that duct tape might stretch after a while or get gummy around the edges.

I have mine attached with industrial strength Velcro. It holds well and easy to apply.

Mine came already attached but they are attached with that heavy duty packing tape the kind that has the fibers in it. Looks to be about 3" wide. Seems to be holding up fine.

I like Velcro because I can take the leaders off and machine baste them to the quilt backing, and then slap them back on the poles. Much faster than pinning for me.

Mine are attached with velcro also. The leaders and velcro came with my longarm.

I have a quilt on the machine right now, so you can't really see anything. Sorry.
