You are realy lucky!!!

Here in Norway where I live, is never a garage-sale with something that even can loock like fabricks. Maybe beacause ordinar price for a yard of cotton is about 31,5 us dollar.

I agree! However, you can go online and search for estate sales!!! I have two companies that I subscribe to and they send me updates on any sales in my area. Sometimes the prices can be high, but I quite often go back on the second day when prices are half off. You can view pics of the things available so I can decide if there's anything I want to go check out. I have found tons of fabric, patterns, buttons, etc...even FW's! It helps break the boredom of these long winter months!

Great deal! Yard sales are showing up here but no bargains like that. Have fun with your fabrics.

You found a great buy. In the past year i have gone to 2 estate sales and come home with quite a haul. The 1st one I got 76 yd for $76. The ladies that were having the sale didn't know the value of fabric. They did not have it priced, it was just on shelves. Myself and 1 other lady was there so we got all the good fabric. The way we figured out what I owed was i used the measure from you nose to outstretched hand = 1 yd. We sat on the front porch while I measured it. The 2nd one they had everything priced. I bought at least 100 yd fabric at $1 yd. She also had thread marked at $.50 a spool. It was Sulky & Mettler thread normally $2.49 - $2.79 unless it is on sale here. Sometimes Hancock & Joann has it for 50% off. Some of them still had the clear wrapping on them. I got about 50 spools. Won't have to buy thread for awhile.

The last two were "pieces". Looked like the leftovers from quilt backings, but plenty of it. Nothing under a yard! I'm still doing the "happy dance"!
You did good girl!!!! You made a great haul. You've got to love garage sales. Looks like you will be having some fun!!! Enjoy
