I've never ordered fabric on-line before but it sounds like there are some great deals to be found. Any recommendations for good places - or ones to avoid. I'm currently in the market for batiks and 30's. Thank you kindly one and all.

I really like Connecting Threads - everyday price is $5.96 per yard for quilters cotton.......and their customer service is really great...........I would stay away from Thousands of Bolts (fabric I got from them was so cheap and sleazy I couldn't use it even for rags). If you want high end fabric, try WebFabrics.....her prices are closer to what you would pay in LQS - but she sells only the very highest quality fabrics.......Hope this helps!

I just got batiks from the Bryerpatch Studio. It is the second time I've ordered from them, prices are reasonable and service is very quick.

Thousands of Bolts and Fabric.com are good. Also Desperate Quilters. Good prices and good service from all of these

I have bought from Joanns - not very heavy and Connecting Threads their's were nice and heavy and I got it for a good price at Christmas time. Watch for their sales and I did see 30s fabrics.

i go to

http://stores.ebay.com/CROWSNESTQUIL...1QQ_fsubZQ2d33

http://nixiechicks.com/index.php?cPa...76315082776bc9

there may be something hinky with the nixie chicks site, but ignore it and click on the left-hand column anyway.

i like crows nest because of the cheap prices and cheap shipping right out front!!
