Default Looking for hardware for purses and bags

Hello!! I'm looking for a source of the hardware needed to make bags, purses and such. I'm looking for both metal and plastic - clips, d-rings, square rings, snaps, key rings - just about all kinds of stuff. I'd like to find a wholesale - or inexpensive web site. I make lots of bags and need to fine a good source. I have one that I like to buy my zippers - www.zipperstop.com (I get the closed bottom 14" zippers 12 or more for $.33 each - and you can mix the colors).

Any suggestions will be very appreciated!!

I've ordered from both these places:
http://www.umx.info/purse-handbag-cat1.htm
http://www.countrybrookdesign.com/ha...FQ0DQAodJ3iwcw
Also had very good luck with all purchases on ebay, make sure they have good feed back (zipperstop is on ebay too)
Never ordered from Linda Ghee, but very reputable:

I also found this site. I have never used it, so I don't know anything about it.

I found this site. http://www.sewthankful.com/BagHardware.html

I have never ordered anything from sewthankful.

I have used Nancy's Notions website for items. She has magnetic closures and handles on her site as well.

For the totes and purses I have made, I buy cheap ones from thrift stores and take the hardware off them. The new hardware usually cost more then the fabric to make one. When I started looking I found many cheap purses at yard sales that had great hardware that wold be hard to find to buy.

Check out the "supplies" section in etsy.com Search for what you are interested in, ie: purse hardware, or d-rings, etc. Also, One place that tops them all for zippers is an etsy store called zipit
They are fantastic!!!

I buy my zippers from zipit on etsy. They are great and fast shipping. I've done a few orders with them now. I agree, check out what you can find on etsy. There are lots of shops there selling hardware.

I have done this several times. The thrift store bag may not be of my liking but if the hardware is in good shape, I will snatch it up in a heartbeat. Sometimes the magnetic closure I buy new costs more than all the hardware I scavage from a used bag.

jhittle is an excellent source for all sorts of stuff at a reasonable price. The other place you might search is createforless.com.
